A couple of years ago I wrote a post about the V2 (Vergeltungswaffe, or ‘vengeance weapon’) that stands in the atrium of the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth, contrasting its ‘modernism’ and firepower with the horsedrawn British field gun that was just a generation older that stands next to it.
